Then I put sealer on window parts as well as the walls of the house.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_VwZbINryV4I/RhqwFRyzfaI/AAAAAAAAABQ/KDN31giZAhs/s200/IMG_0123.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5051543536771759522" />

The walls of the house are not completely flat, which is making it hard to keep the house together with masking tape. (I've seen people do "dry runs" with masking tape and wanted to try it myself.) I will try again tomorrow. Today I painted a few of the window parts white.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_VwZbINryV4I/RhqwfRyzfbI/AAAAAAAAABY/p1Zdj4hyRwM/s200/IMG_0124.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5051543983448358322" />

This project is very slow going. My workstation was very messy.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_VwZbINryV4I/RhcJhxyzfXI/AAAAAAAAAA4/WU0pWit14P4/s200/IMG_0118.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5050515983026060658" />
I realize now that masking tape is pretty important. I do not have any. I don't have a clamp either. So I had to hold the tiny bits together until the glue set a bit. This was not fun. I skipped a lot of tiny steps because I will be covering up the chimney with paperclay and don't need the details included with the kit.
I used the glue bottle as a weight.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_VwZbINryV4I/RhcLPhyzfZI/AAAAAAAAABI/Drk8_S192vA/s200/IMG_0120.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5050517868516703634" />

The first kit to arrive. . .

was the Willow! O.K., more like A LOT. I've been told this is completely crazy, but I really want to model this house after the cottage in the movie "The H0liday." This means I'm changing it from a 3 story, to a 2 story, and changing the window layout. I'll have to make new notches, and I've only done one so far today. This will obviously be a long project, but I will not rush it.
As for the Buttercup kit (which should be arriving tomorrow), I was thinking about modeling it after the Ch0colaterie in the movie, "Ch0colat."
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_VwZbINryV4I/RhxoIweqvXI/AAAAAAAAACI/3nYMqWfbxhM/s200/chocolat-7.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5052027381664628082" />
Hopefully, I have not set my goals too high!

My Mini Home Blog

I have 2 kits coming in the mail-- the Will0w, and the Buttercup.
